Mitre 10 Expo 2024 featured a blend of exhibition spaces and opportunities for meaningful interactions

In May, the Mitre 10 Expo 2024 took place at Mystery Creek Events Centre, bringing together members and key suppliers from across the North Island. The event, designed to facilitate product displays and networking, featured a blend of exhibition spaces and opportunities for meaningful interactions.

“We wanted to create an environment where Mitre 10 members and suppliers could engage in conversations, discover new products and connect with one another in an inviting space,” said the event organisers. 

The choice of the Pavilion including the Convention Centre and Suites at Mystery Creek Events Centre was based on several key factors. “The capacity was critical in accommodating our exhibitors, and the venue provided ample space and plenty of parking, which was a significant convenience for our attendees.” The organisers also highlighted the Pavilion’s expansive layout, which allowed for all exhibitors to be housed in a single, pillar-free space, making navigation easy.

The location’s proximity to the Waikato Expressway and other major travel routes linking major centres was another positive, ensuring easy access for both attendees and exhibitors travelling from other centres. 

The Pavilion was transformed into an expansive expo hall, that easily accommodated all exhibitors and attendees. The Convention Suites upstairs were used as a staff room, while the outdoor green spaces were utilised for exhibitor activations and parking. This flexibility within the venue contributed to the smooth flow of the event and a positive experience for attendees.

The event made use of several of Mystery Creek’s preferred suppliers, for furniture and theming and catering, which helped the organisers to deliver a successful and professional event. 

Feedback from attendees was positive and praise was given for the venue’s accessibility and ease of navigation, as well as the effective use of space. The ability to host food trucks on-site inside the Pavilion added an enjoyable, interactive element to the event. 

Reflecting on the event’s success, the organisers credited the venue as a significant contributor. “The flexibility of the space allowed us to brand it effectively and create an inviting atmosphere for all attendees. The staff support was invaluable, and the layout ensured everything ran smoothly.” The organisers expressed strong interest in returning to the venue in the future as it proved to be an ideal venue for the Mitre 10 Expo event.”
