A Night of Mystery… Revealed

Heavyweights of the event industry were wined and dined last Thursday at a spectacular evening showcasing the multi-purpose venue, Mystery Creek Events Centre. All attendees were amazed at the creative, professional event and left the night with admiration for the events centre.

With the evening titled ‘A Night of Mystery’, expectations of the guests were high. They were introduced to the venue via a candle-lit path to the tranquil garden bar, accompanied with an acoustic guitarist. The mood was then transformed when the guests were escorted into the 2,000m2 dining area. With a stage set and a subtle 20 meter screen present, the vicinity permitted the finest dining and entertainment experience.

The atmosphere of the evening increased in intensity as the entertainment took centre stage. The musical trio; Hitmen, provided a comedic approach to theatre and performed a flawless rendition of Phantom of the Opera. Body painted models also made an appearance; impressing guests with their intricate body art by Carmel. The evening came to an ultimate high when a curtain was raised to reveal an indoor pyrotechnic extravaganza. The finale wowed all attendees as it was an unexpected highlight to the already magnificent evening.

The prize draw was won by Malcolm Jordan of Total Event. With 23 years experience in the events industry, Malcolm thinks he will use the $10,000 voucher towards the next event held at Mystery Creek Events Centre in conjunction with one of his biggest clients.

A variety of leads have been generated from the Night of Mystery, with more to be followed up in the forthcoming weeks. Not only was the evening an occasion to display the many possibilities of the venue, it was also an opportunity to showcase Hamilton City to the overseas event industry. Local contractors were used in most aspects of the event, from the fine cuisine by Kerr & Ladbrook to the pyrotechnics by Martin Van Tiel.

The event was a huge success for all who were involved. The evening will be used as a promotional tool in the upcoming year for potential clients. “The event showcased a little of the magic that can be created at Mystery Creek Events Centre. All who attended the event were very impressed and the opportunities that have risen from the evening have already been outstanding,” Nicola Greenwell, Business and Development Manager.
